Shipping policy

Livrome books are printed on demand in Mile-End, Montreal, then shipped across Canada, the United States, and the European Union. Here's what to expect.
Production time
Printing and binding start within 48 hours of you confirming your preview (clicking "Order the book"). Typical production time is 2 business days. If we're busier than usual (around Christmas or back-to-school), we'll flag a delay at checkout.
Shipping time
After printing:
- Canada — 5–8 business days
- United States — 7–12 business days
- European Union + UK — 7–12 business days
- Rest of world — not currently shipped. Write to us if you're outside these regions and we'll see if we can help case-by-case.
These are carrier estimates. Customs in the US and EU can occasionally add 1–3 days we can't control.
Shipping cost
- Canada — flat $8.95 CAD. Free on orders over $75 CAD.
- United States — flat $14.95 CAD.
- European Union + UK — flat $19.95 CAD.
Exact cost is shown at checkout before you pay.
Duties, taxes, import fees
- Canada — GST/HST/QST is calculated at checkout. No further charges at the door.
- United States — most orders arrive duty-free under current de minimis thresholds. Larger orders may incur import duties collected by the carrier at delivery.
- European Union + UK — VAT and customs duties are billed by the carrier on delivery and are the customer's responsibility.
Tracking
You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link as soon as your book is handed to the carrier — usually 2–3 business days after you order. You can also look up your order at livrome.com/pages/track-order.
Carriers we use
- Canada — Canada Post (Expedited Parcel, tracked)
- United States — DHL eCommerce or USPS (last-mile)
- Europe — DHL Express with local carrier handoff
Lost or delayed packages
If your tracking shows no movement for more than 7 business days past the estimated delivery date, email us at hello@livrome.com. We'll open an investigation with the carrier and, if the book is confirmed lost, reprint and re-ship it at no cost to you.
Address errors
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If the book returns to us marked undeliverable, we'll contact you to confirm a corrected address and re-ship at no charge. If the package is returned because of a customer-side error after one free re-ship, subsequent re-ships will be billed at cost.
Gift orders
At checkout, tick "This is a gift" to add a dedication page to the front of the book, opt into gift packaging, and ship directly to the recipient's address. The invoice is emailed only to you, the gift-giver — never included in the package.
