What do you do with my child's photo?

The photo is used only to illustrate your book. It's stored encrypted, used by our illustration pipeline to adapt each page to your child's features, then deleted within 30 days — or instantly from your account on request. We never share photos, never train models on them, and never use them for any purpose outside your book.

How long does delivery take?

Printing takes 48 hours once you've confirmed your preview. After that: 5–8 business days in Canada, 7–12 business days to the United States and Europe. We'll email you a tracking number as soon as your book ships.

Are the books available in French?

Yes — every story is hand-written in both French (Quebec variant) and English, by our own authors. You pick the language when you create the book. The illustrations and layout are identical across languages.

What if I don't love the final book?

We'll replace it or refund you — your choice. No fine print, no return shipping fees. We only ship books we'd be proud to keep ourselves. If something's off, write to us at hello@livrome.com within 30 days of delivery and we'll make it right.

How much does a book cost?

Hardcover books start at $29 CAD (24 pages, 21×21 cm, FSC-certified paper, sewn binding). Paperback starts at $22 CAD. No subscription. No recurring charges. One-time purchase, yours to keep. Shipping is free in Canada on orders over $75.

Can I send a book directly as a gift?

Yes. At checkout, tick 'This is a gift' to add a personal dedication page at the front of the book, choose gift packaging, and ship directly to the recipient. The invoice is emailed only to you.

Do you use AI to make the illustrations?

Our illustrators use AI-assisted tools to adapt our hand-drawn base scenes to your child's features — face shape, skin tone, hair. Every scene starts from art drawn by a human illustrator, never from a generic prompt. The result stays faithful, warm, and consistent from page to page.

Is this safe for children?

Yes. We follow Quebec Law 25 and European GDPR standards. We don't sell photos, email addresses, or any personal data. Parental consent is required at the start of every preview — no book is created without an adult's explicit permission.

What format is the book printed in?

24 pages, 21×21 cm (8.25×8.25 in) square format. Hardcover: sewn binding with 170 g FSC-certified paper and a laminated cover. Paperback: glued binding with 150 g paper. Both are printed locally in Quebec on carbon-neutral presses.

How does the preview work?

After you pick a story and upload one clear photo, our pipeline drafts all 24 pages in about 2 minutes. You review each page, pick your favorite variant, and can regenerate any page you don't love. Nothing is charged until you click 'Order the book.' The preview is free, always.
